1st Time Syncing Smartpen to Echo Desktop

First Time Syncing Smartpen Notes to Echo Desktop 

  1. Create one general college account for all Smartpens 
    1. You’ll need an email/Username and Password
    2. Write down account information
    3. Attach label with Username and Password to Smartpen
  2. Connect Smartpen to computer
  3. Install Echo Desktop
  4. Open Echo Desktop
    1. If Smartpen doesn’t connect, unplug and reattach it
  5. Sign in 
    1. Select:  Use Existing Account
    2. DO NOT CREATE NEW ACCOUNT
    3. Once a Smartpen has been registered to a computer it will be recognized in the future
    4. Echo Desktop can only work with one account at a time.  One account can have unlimited Smartpens attached to it
  6. Listen to notes on computer
    1. Smartpen should transfer notes to Echo Desktop
    2. Click on the page, in the folder, you want to hear
  7. New Computer
    1. Follow steps 1-4 to sync Smartpen on a new computer

Printing your own Dot Paper

  1. Open Echo Desktop
  2. Select Tools, Print paper
